The Center for Scholarly English is a unique institution of higher learning for successful international  scholars and researchers. We prepare our clients for a globalized academic world increasingly dominated by English. Instruction is organized around our clients' professional needs, and conducted in a fashion that is respectful of their achievements and of their time.

The Center helps international scholars enter the mainstream of academic discourse in English. Language instruction focuses on mastery of the oral and written conventions and genres of scholarly English.  Scholars and researchers are prepared for the specific demands of Anglophone academic and research institutions. They become more familiar with the profile of their discipline in English, develop a network of colleagues in their field, and enhance their ability to sustain this network.

The Center is unique in its staffing and structure. Center staff generally have Ph.D.s, and backgrounds in university teaching and scholarship. The Center partners with non-profit, governmental, and educational institutions.  It is a division of Global Language Institute, accredited by ACCET and a member of AAIEP.
